Since there has been no response to your post, it appears to be either too complex or too rare an issue for other forum members to assist you. If you don't get a suitable response to your post, you may wish to review our resources at the online Technical Assistance Center (http://www.cisco.com/tac) or speak with a TAC engineer. You can open a TAC case online at http://www.cisco.com/tac/caseopen
If anyone else in the forum has some advice, please reply to this thread.
Thank you for posting.

I have just seen exactly the same problem, it appears to be caused by domain-wide account policy setings.
This is not someting a CW2K installer can typically change if the machine is part of a domain.
How do we lengthen the 'casuser' randomised password parameters. ?

There was a thread on the OV Forum list last week whether CW2000 4th edition was supported on Win2k SP2. The answer was that it is, but I haven't seen this on the Cisco web and looking at the release notes stops at SP1. I suggest you either contact TAC and verify that SP2 is supported and ask if there is any special instructions, or downgrade to SP1, which I've seen running just fine (and then maybe after the installation upgrade to SP2).

Try to verify your password policy and look at http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cw2000/cw2000_d/4steditn/rn_nt.htm#xtocid96538
