CiscoView - Server may become unstable

Has anybody came across this problem in CiscoView, Ciscoworks2000 on Solaris7?.

When I launch CiscoView in RME and type in device address and hit enter, an error window pops up. It says "Internal error on server. Server may become unstable" and it stops loading CiscoView. I tried installing differnt JRE versions on client machine, it didn't fix it.

Thanks

Raga

Hi,

When you open a device, CiscoView queries the following system objects: sysObjectID.0 (system.2.0) and sysUpTime.0. If it encounters any error on this query, it throws "Internal Error".

It can be due to bad community string stored in RME or some SNMP views configured on device. This can be confirmed by checking the SNMP trace. So, please send the SNMP trace to ciscoworks@cisco.com. Also, please check if you are able to launch CV directly i.e. without going through RME and try IP address of device instead of hostname.

Thanks,

Ashish Kumar
