We have CWLMS 2.2 Common Services installed on a Windows 2000 server sp3 box. When installed all devices were discovered and collected by the ANI Server, then syncronized to RME 3.5. Everything worked fine. All devices were discovered by ip address, however I would like to resolve the IP address to device name. The only only place that I can see device names is campus manager. Any kind of RME report or inventory come up as IP address. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Hi,

On Server configuration + Setup + ANI server admin + discovery settings, check Use reverse DNS lookup and wait for the next ANI discovery.

That has already been done, but devices still come up in RME with IP addresses.

ANI discover IP address and forward to RME with IP address, right.

What kind of resolution are you using ? DNS, hosts ?
