I am having problems adding a couple of switches into ciscoworks. Despite having upgraded rme to the latest version with a recent idu and upgrading the ios on these switches to the same ios i have on identical switches which have been added to ciscoworks with no problems these two remaining ones are still giving me a headache.
When i add them to rme, rme then tries to immediately archive a config from the switch via snmp, when it does this the processor on the switch hits 100% utilization and a sh proc cpu shows that 99% of this is ip snmp, the device then ends up being listed as not responding.
other switches of the same model have been upgraded with the same ios and go into ciscoworks without any problems.
I have tried increasing the snmp timeout values in ciscoworks.
any ideas
regards
