CiscoWorks Bug ID CSCdx73755 for RME 3.4

How can a person find the resolution to the Bug ID CSCdx73755 for RME 3.4 if the Bug Tool doesn't list it?

We are having an issue with a router hostname change not remaining in the running configuration of the device. It is saved in the startup. It is written to memory when the change is made so running and startup should be in sync.

Our RME config retrieval is setup to listen to syslog messages and retrieve via SNMP once a day.

Is it possible CiscoWorks could be changing the hostname back to the original hostname?

From the TAC:

The fix for this bug is included in the IDU patch for RME 3.4. You can download it from this location:

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/idu10

I don't see this bug marked as solved in the above IDU for RME 3.4

Cisco TAC case D110276 - Cisco Engineer states bug is fixed in IDU 1.0 for RME 3.4. I didn't see it listed either, but was taking their word for it.

Hi,

The best place to look for bug information is to look at the bug tool kit.

Thanks,

Habib

Thanks Habib, but I as I originally posted I found the bug using the bug tool kit. It listed the bug as resolved, but not what the resolution is.

After contacting the TAC, I found out it is fixed in the IDU 1.0 for RME 3.4. This is information which should have been posted along with the bug in the bug tool kit.
