I was browsing around the cisco website and found two zip files for the CiscoWorks Maintenance Upgrade from CCO...

What do I need to check to see if I need to install this maintenance upgrade?

If you're referring to http://www.cisco.com/kobayashi/sw-center/netmgmt/cw2000/patches.shtml, then there's a README file with the patch that tells you how do you apply it and what are the pre-reqs. Also, the Description column descibes briefly what the patch is about. Read Carefully.
