Citrix and QOS

We are applying QOS to five different Citrix applications, how do we classify printing within Citrix and how we do apply less priority or bandwidth to printing with in Citrix (port 1494 and 1604)

Any subjection is welcome.

Thank you

Mario

Re: Citrix and QOS

Hi Mario,

what are the port you prioritize in the Citrix application?

I mean what are the port number used in the ext Access List to select the appropriate Citrix traffic.

Do you have a link to one of this reference?

Any Help is appreciate.

Re: Citrix and QOS

Hi Matteo

The port I use in the ext Acl is 1494, also I am using NBAR.

Here is the configuration on the main router

class-map match-any QPM_Citrix

match protocol citrix

policy-map QPM_Shal

class QPM_Citrix

bandwidth percent 45

interface Serial2/1:4

service-policy output QPM_Shal

Thank you

Re: Citrix and QOS

Thank you Mario.

I have seen your answer only now.

May ask you what is the Bandwidth you assigned to each Thin Client in the remote site?

I know that Citrix recommend a minimum of 20 Kbps, but with this figure we had big problem because the consumption for Graphical Web-Based application is much higher.

Thanks

Matteo
