Clear IP EIGRP Routing

Can someone explain to me why every so often we have to clear EIGRP tables to allow Routers the ability to communciate with each other. This happens once in a while whereby 3 Routers share a common LAN and one Routers needs to clear EIGRP. All have common K Values and AS.

Can you explain what the problem is? Are the two routers not forming an EIGRP neighbor relationship, not trading routes, etc? Start with a show ip eigrp neighbor when the routers are in this condition. Does it show the right neighbors, and what are the SRTT and RTO values? Can you ping the neighbors, and if you ping 224.0.0.10, do you get a response from those neighbors?
