clear ip ospf redistribution

We have encountered routing problem on one of the IP block from our distribution router where the IP from that block is unreacheable to other networks. Some router shown that the routing entry known from the router it was connected while other router is not. With this, we've tried to command the "clear ip ospf redistribution" where as the connection went back to normal and the routing table have seen the proper routing.

Could anyone help us to avoid the repeat of this problem?

Re: clear ip ospf redistribution

The clear ip ospf redistribution command flushes all the type 5 and type 7 link-state advertisements (LSAs) and scans the routing table for the redistributed routes. This causes a partial shortest path first algorithm (SPF) in all the routers on the network that receive the flushed/renewed LSAs. When the expected redistributed route is not in OSPF, this command may help to renew the LSA and get the route into OSPF
