CLI "Set" Commands

Learning a Cisco 2900XL; IOS Version 12.0(5)WC5.

I've not been able to get any of the "SET" commands to work. Example: set time (for system clock), set system name, etc.

All the documentation I've found shows the Privileged EXEC prompt as Switch#, but the Command Reference and some other docs I've found show the prompt as Switch> (enable).

In either case, I'm not having any luck with the commands. Any suggestions?

Thanx

Re: CLI "Set" Commands

The 2900XL is an IOS based switch. The set is only applicable to the CatOS based switches. Here's the link for the 2900XL 12.0(5)WC5 Command Reference Manual:

Hope this helps,
