Hi,

Sorry for have a non-network related question, but I really need help on this.

I have a web server and alot of my user is complaining that connection to the web server is slow. When i did a netstat -n on the command prompt of my web server, it show a lot of CLOSE_WAIT status. I tried reboot the web server and the connection gets better till the CLOSE_WAIT status grow in size.

Does anyone in this forum has any ideas on how to kill the service of the CLOSE_WAIT? i really apprciate if any one inthe forum can help me.

Thanks a million in advance.

CLOSE_WAIT means that the OS is waiting for the application to respond to its request to close the TCP session. So I'd check for possible known bugs in whatever version of whatever web server you're using.
