I work with a 6509 with the router module. Question: What command do I

use to view mac addresses and the interfaces associated with them?

Do I use the command on the router or switch side of th 6509?

Are you looking for the MAC addresses in the CAM table? You can do a "show cam dynamic" on the switch side. if you are running hybrid software. If you are running native IOS, you would do a "sh mac-address-table dynamic"

Yes, I tried sh mac-address-table on the router side before but it didn't take it.

I just tried sh cam dynamic on the switch side and it worked. Thanks for your help.

From the description, you are running hybrid system and hence the "sh mac-address-table dynamic" command will not work
