Compression amd 2500 bootrom tftp

Hi everyone...

If I enable frf9 or frame relay compression on a 2500 serial interface, what will happen if I try to bring the 2500 in Bootrom mode in order to upgrade it via tftp remotely ? Would the compression configuration on the 2500 prevent us from connecting to the 2500 remotely...

Thanks

Michel

Compression is basically done on the frame relay traffic and sent out on the VC. It would in no way affect the connection to a remote tftp server. You can download images via tftp without any problems. Some types of compression are CPU intensive, however there the compression algorithm doesn't do anything when the router id in boot mode.
