compression between Cisco and non-Cisco devices

Hi.

I need to configure compression for Frame-Relay and ISDN links between a Cisco 7500 and non-Cisco devices. I´ve found some information on CCO stating that no compression standard can be applied yet although efforts are being made. Is this right? Is there any solution at present to make compression interoperate between Cisco and non-Cisco devices and particularly for Frame-Relay links and ISDN links?

Thanks,

Enrique

Re: compression between Cisco and non-Cisco devices

I'm not sure where you read this, but there are standard compression schemes for Frame Relay and ISDN (PPP). These links may help you out:
