config cisco 2811 as terminal server

I config router 2811 with HWIC 16A as terminal server to manage 3 router and 3 swich.

the cable I use to connect to devices: CAB-HD8-ASYNC. I insert  the HWIC 16A to slot 3 of router so the port should be: 2050->2065.

I confirm them by using "show line' command. HWIC 16A has two interface: 0-7 and 8-15. Now I use interface 0-7. The same problem when I try to use int 8-15.

I also change slot use with HWIC 16A and change port to match.

when I try to connect, I get error:

Access_Server#m51
Trying m51 (172.16.0.1, 2051)... Open

Access_Server#m52
Trying m52 (172.16.0.1, 2052)... Open

Access_Server#m53
Trying m53 (172.16.0.1, 2053)... Open

Access_Server#m54

Access_Server#m55

I would try to securely reseat the NM and also reseat the cable on the NM.  There may be a poor connection or a hardware problem here with the NM or the cable.  Do you have a spare of either to test? All of the ports fail the same way, right?

What is the error?  No communication?  I'm not understnding the problem.

These are connected to the comsole ports of Cisco routers and switches?

tks Phillip,

when I try to connect, I get error:

Access_Server#m51
Trying m51 (172.16.0.1, 2051)... Open

.....

and hang out

If you connect a terminal or PC to the hung console port, does that work?  Are you sure the console ports are at 9600 bps?  What is the config register set to on the devices in question (The config register will imply the console speed)?

Config register settings: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps133/products_tech_note09186a008022493f.shtml

Make sure the speed set on the 2811 matches the speed of the console port.

If I connect directly to console port, I work well.

I dont change console speed 9600bps. this is default speed.

I dont understand this:"The config register will imply the console speed"

Configuration register is 0x2102 in router 2811 (attach file).

thank you.

I have changed the cable hd8-asyn and I work well
