Hi,

My router seems to keeps showing a strange register value even after I change it manually.

Anybody have any ideas what could be wrong?

R1(config)#config-register 0x2102

R1(config)#^Z

R1#wr

Re: Config-register

I belive you have asked this question multiple times and has been answered. It is the console baud rate which is causing this. Can you paste the output of

sh line console 0

Re: Config-register

You may be right the console is set wrong, however I am going in via the

VTY.

line con 0

password ...

login

transport input none

speed 115200

line vty 0 4

access-class 77 in

password 7 096E570B0028471C1F15

login

but changing the speed to 9600 does reset the register.

Thanks

Harbir
