I have a test lab at home that copies my network here at my job. I have four subnets (A,B,C,D). I have a DCHP server on subnet B. How do I configure the router on subnet D to act as a DHCP relay agent to forward udp broadcasts to subnet B? Does this mean that all udp broadcasts will be passed? I know that you have to use the ip helper address cmd and something else but is there anything else that I'll need to do where the DHCP server is located?
I have looked at some docs but there don't give me the info that I want.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
