configure bpdu guard on IOS 12.1(9)EA1 and 12.1(9)EA1d

Hi,

configuring bpdu guard on IOS 12.1(9)EA1 and 12.1(9)EA1d does not reflect status bpdu guard enabled.

but it is ok with the other IOS.

Anyone experienced this before. Any help is appreciated.

Hi

bpduguard command was first intriduced in 12.0(5)WC5 itself,the BPDU guard feature works on Port Fast-enabled interfaces. Configure Port Fast only on interfaces that connect to end stations; otherwise, an accidental topology loop could cause a data packet loop and disrupt switch and network operation.

But the strange thing is after configuring bpdu guard on IOS 12.1(9)EA1 and 12.1(9)EA1d, issuing

#sh spann sum total, it still show bpdu guard disabled?
