Configure QoS on 3550

Hi,

Could anyone point me to sample configs on how you would configure a Cat 3550 switch to police traffic (port-based) on an egress policy. So far, I have only found configs for ingress policies.

I am trying to limit traffic through a port (input & output) to a pre-determined speed, ie. 128Kbps. If it matters, the IOS version on the switch is

12.1(11)EA1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1).

Thanks,

Colin.

Can you send to me the example of this configs?

Recently I have tried to limit traffic through a port ro 2Mb/s on catalyst 2950 but

have no access.

Re: Configure QoS on 3550

Hi,

Firstly, these configs are for 3550. You have to try to see if it works for 2950.

And secondly, this only enforces QoS for ingress traffic, but not egress traffic. I am still trying to look for a solution that works both ways. If you have figured it out, pls let me know.
