configuring cisco 2503 in dce mode

Hi,

would like to know how to configure serial port in cisco 2503 in dce mode and how to set the clock rate also

In your output I can see you have the DTE side of the cable cdot>show controllers serial 0
HD unit 0, idb = 0x14AEF8, driver structure at 0x151238
buffer size 1504  HD unit 0, V.35 DTE cable

So you can not configure the clock rate in this side but in the interface of the device you have the Other extreme of the cable, or you have to invert the cable.

You can verify if your interface is DCE or CTE with the next command:

 

show controllers serial { type de interface number here }

 

in order to configure the clock in the DCE side you have to enter the next command: clock rate tipe the rate here }
