I am having trouble configuring the IP for a 2500 series router.
I am trying to connect the network 10.0.0.0 /24 with 10.0.2.0 /24 with a serial network of 10.0.3.0 /24 in between (We have a WAN simulator providing this)
My problem is that when I try to assign the IP address 10.0.0.3 /24 to interface E0, I get a
bad mask /24
error. I cannot configure the address. I can set the E0 ip address to most anything else, just not the 10.0.0.0 /24 network.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Dave

try enabling subnet-zero under config. Believe this will allow 10.0.0.3 /24.

Worked like a charm. Thanks much.
