Configuring PPP on Cisco 1721 Router

When I am configuring PPP authentication CHAP on the Bri or Dialer interface of a 1721 router I get the following error message.

AAA: Warning, authentication list "default" is not defined for PPP.

The router accepts the command.

I can conifgure aaa for authentication to be local and then the message does not appear.

Does anybody know if this may cause any problems?

Not at all. Thats normal. However, you will not see this message to confuse you anymore in future 12.2 releases because of CSCdv30897 (title: AAA warning message when trying to configure PPP authentication).
