Hello. Maybe someone can clarify this for me. I am about to set up QoS between 2 subnets on 2 Cat6500, linked by a 100Mb LAN extension between a city. I want to prioritise traffic that carries voice (using an IP trunk between 2 Avaya Definity switches that are connected to each switch, on separate subnets too). Researching this I reckon that setting up using DSCP may fit the bill.
Do I simply configure the switches at each site like the following, and commit and apply the ACL to the relevant ports? Will this achieve my goal of prioritising the voice traffic over this link? I would also add voice control traffic with a pri of 26.
Switch1
>> set qos acl ip Site1 dscp 46 udp any range 16384 32767 any range 16384 32767
Switch2
>>set qos acl ip Site2 dscp 46 udp any range 16384 32767 any range 16384 32767
Any help is greatly appreciated.
