Configuring routing between VLAN on 4006 box with L3 blade

I have a customer whose network is flat at the present time. I have sold several access layer switches (3500XL series and 2950 series) to them over the past year. Recently i had them purchase a 4006 with a L3 blade (WS-X4232-L3) with the expectation that the router would be the route processor to route between Vlans. I have developed the appropriate IP address schemes that would pertain to the 6 VLAN's I want to create for my customer.

I understand how to use VTP and also to set VLAN's on the 4006 sup. I was under the impression that I would be creating logical interfaces on the Layer 3 blade and that the L3 blade would be my route processor and therefore route between the VLAN's. I tried to configure an "interface VLAN2" on the router and it did not know what I was trying to do.

What am I doing wrong here?? Is there documentaton that would explain how to configure the VLAN interfaces on the L3 blade (router) on my 4006 box??..

thx

Kevin

The 4232-L3 blade has a different implementation. The following pages on CCO should help

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/473/28.html
