configuring vlans to allow a host access to the router but not other hosts
in the same subnet. The situation is this: we have a data centre where we have multiple customers and I'd like to place them all in say (192.168.0.0/24) and configure the routers with HSRP using 192.168.0.1 for the VIP. I'd like to be able to have all the customers be in that subnet but not be able to see each other's traffic. I found a solution for this using a baystack switch using the PVID but I have a 2900xl and 2 3500xls that I need to configure for this.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
