Conflicting uptime results

I have a 6009 with CatOS 5.3. When I do a show version the uptime is 925 days. When I use SNMP and snmpget system.sysUpTime.0 the uptiime is 428 days. I know that the correct uptime is 925 days. Why is there a difference? How do I get the correct uptime using SNMP? Can other SNMP data be trusted if this one doesn't work?

I tested this on my Cat6509 running 5.5(8a) and the sysUpTime matches with the CLI output. Make sure that the time on your switch is setup properly. Did you disabled SNMP on the device in the past and then enabled it back again?
