Confuse in CatOS naming Convention

Is there a Cisco doc that explain the "cat6000-sup2cvk8.7-3-2.bin" what is the k8 means. How do I decide what ver of CatOS I use in my 6513 with 2 msfc.

Re: Confuse in CatOS naming Convention

See if the section 'Naming Convention Used by Hybrid and Native IOS Images' at:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/473/14.shtml#naming answers your question. 'k' images means that this is a Crypto image (56 or 3DES).
