Confused on commands !!

Hello,

I have some particular questions about some commands.

1) Is 802.1Q tunneling supported on layer 2 switches, or only on a Multilayer switches? (3550 EMI, 6500) etc

2) Same question as above only for Layer 2 protocol tunneling instead.

3) On both the above questions is it configured in the layer 2 portion, or the layer 3? Meaning at the configuration level as a 2950, or the layer 3 (router) portion of a 3550?

Pretty confused here. Any help would be much appreciated.

I do not know exactly what scenerio you are trying to implement, but this document covers the uses of 802.1q tunneling and how to set it up.
