Connected ip on Switchport

Hi!

I have a C6509 (IOS) with a lot of servers connected to it. I want to retreive information about which server (IP) is connected on each port. I also wish to detect if the connected MAC address changes. (when a server is disconnected and a new server is connected in the same port)

Does anyone have a good idea?

I have a Cisco Works installation, and also familiar with perl if this can help.

Tommy,

To get the physical port you'll need two things.

1. show ip arp ( to give you IP to MAC information)

2. show mac (give you MAC to physical port information)

To get this scripted I hope that someone else on the alias can assist

do you know how to get this information via SNMP?

Which OID do I have to look for to retrieve this info? Which MIB file?
