I have 1601 R series router. I want to connect (leased line) 4 wire, 64 kbps CSU/DSU to serial port(S0). Which cable I should use? how to configure the router? I am using RAD HCD-E1/2w/AC/S1/1/V35 leased line modem. It is having one synchronous data port with V35 interface. I want router configuration for this modem.

You can connect the CSU/DSU to the

built in serial port or to a WIC-1T.

You need to use the CAB-V35MT cable.

The router config depends on what

is at the other end; if it is a non-

cisco device, you should use PPP

encapsulation, along with an IP address

(as a minimum).
