Connecting Switch , ISDN router with WIndows 2000

Listen colleagues. I have a slight problem. I am connecting a catalyst 3500xl switch to a 803 ISDN router. I connect them but unless I specify the same subnet they cant ping eavh other.

The problem is this I have a 2000 server with two network cards. one for the private lan and using the second for the internet. From here nothing works, I try to configure the clients default gateway but with no avail.

To sum this up how do i get the configuration to work

(2)3500xl switch

isdn 803 router

Windows 2000 server (2) NICS

10 clients

need help fast

Re: Connecting Switch , ISDN router with WIndows 2000

Let me ask you a few questions first:

How are things connected. Is it in this order:

Router --> 3500switch --> Server (1st NIC)

Server (2nd NIC) --> 2nd 3500 switch --> Clients

This would help.

Thanks
