Connecting TTY lines across a WAN

Hello,

How do I connect 2 tty lines across a WAN ?

The scenario is that a Paging Switch connects to a Cisco 3660 on TTY line 97. This Switch needs to talk to another Paging Switch connected to a similar Cisco 3660 on line 166. It's like a Master/Slave config. The end modules on the Paging switch have no IP routing capability.

Any info on how to proceed is greatly appreciated.

Thx

Re: Connecting TTY lines across a WAN

on the line that is initiating the session use the autocommand under that line

line 166

autocommand telnet 192.168.15.1 2006

The ip address above references an IP address that the initiator of the session can ping on the destination preferably a loopback the 2006 is the line # on the destination , to verify do a 'sh users ' on the destination . you should see that on line 6 there is a connection

Line six config on dest

line 6

session-timeout 0

no exec

no exec-banner

transport input all

escape-character NONE

dispatch-timeout xx

databits x

stopbits x

rxspeed x

txspeed x

flowcontrol hardware
