Connecting two 3560

We currently have one 3560 connected to a 3560G. The 3560 is on it's own subnet and the 3560G is on another subnet. What I want to do is hook in second 3560 so both 3560 are running on the same subnet. Can I just connect a cable between the two switches? Does anyone have a config that does that they they could post? What should the interface config look like?

Thanks.

Re: Connecting two 3560

Hi Friend,

Yes you can just use a cossover cable to connect 2 3560 switches.

Now if you want the 2 3560 switch to talk to each other can you confirm the subnet which is define on 3560 is on which vlan.

The interface config should look something like this

interface fa0/1

switchport mode access

switchport access vlan

Remember the vlan number should be the same vlan which is the vlan assigned to your subnet on 3560 switch.

HTH, if yes please rate the post.
