console&aux port damaged

hello

i have a 2514 router that has console & AUX ports damaged

telnet is not enabled and http also.

but we found that it is listening on tcp port 2001: cisco-mgt.

can we use this port to access the router, or to send it a config via this port.

thx for your help

Re: console&aux port damaged

2001 is a modem port..So if you telnet to ip address and 2001 port, once the connection is open, you are connected to a modem on line 1..(just like modem connected to a PC on COM ports using hyperterminal ) You can't change/modify config on 2000+ ports..

Now what exactly happens when you tried to "console" in the router?

Re: console&aux port damaged

When i try to "console" in the route i just have no output in the console. the same result is obtained by AUX port.
