Hi all,
I am having Cisco 4500-M router for which console is DB-25 to 9-pin connector cable. Terminal settings fine 9600-8-n-1. After booting into this router, it is displaying everything, but not able to take input. Connecting same cable and same terminal settings for the same but other router is working fine. Not able to TELNET, tried even by removing flash and so by default it'll go to ROMMON. It's displaying "rommon>" but not able to take input which i am entering.
Any solution.....?
Thanks in advance...
Ashok.

This looks bad. As you might have figured out yourself there is only one conclusion possible: You have a defective serial port.

You're probably using Tera Term (or something like it ) to try to make a console connection. Sometimes, I have the same issue. Try to use a regular copper straight thru cable as opposed to the thin console cable provided by the manufacturer. (or vise versa). Hope this helps. Good luck.
