Continuous Callback To Remote User

Hi all, my dilemma is as follows:

1. my home user dials into the 2600 NAS router & the router calls her back

2. she abnormally terminates her windows session

3. she connects her phone back to the telephone jack

4. the router then calls her back (phone rings)

5. if she picks up the handset & terminates the call the router still dials her

6. the only way we are currently dealing with this problem is to reboot the router

Is there any command to tell the router to only attempt callback x number of times? Do you think there may be a problem with the users modem drivers?

Thanks Yusuff, I am sure that command will rectify my problem ...

Re: Continuous Callback To Remote User

Actually, callback should only be tried one time - if we fail, we should give up. Without seeing the 2600 config, I can't say why she is getting a call all the time. You may want to ensure that you have recent IOS code on the 2600, just to be safe. If you want to troubleshoot this further, I would suggest you have a look at the following:

debug ppp neg

debug ppp cbcp

debug callback

debug modem

debug isdn q931
