Controlling P2P traffic

Peer to peer applications are running wild on our LAN and is causing degradation on our internet connection. I would like to control this traffic type but the problem seems to be that all these apps. like IMESH (There are too many to mention)use dynamic port numbers and are UDP based as well. These apps. generally use a gateway server on the web to kick off the traffic downloads. Does anybody know the IP address of said gateway / gateways ??

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Controlling P2P traffic

You can use Ping and Traceroute to identify the domain name details like IP address and server name. Using that you can filter in your router or firewall.
