coordinating routes with ISDN dial-in from a single router into any one of four central site routers

This question is about ISDN dial-in from a single router into any one of four central site routers

The dialer interfaces on the central routers are set up the same on each.

For example

int dialer 1

ip addresss 10.1.1.2 255.255.255.252

encap ppp

etc etc

Static routes to the remote ethernet are also set up.

IP route 10.2.2.0 255.255.255.0 10.1.1.1 200

Eigrp is used between the routers and the dialer interface is set to passive.

router eigrp 100

network 10.0.0.0

no auto-summ

passive-int dialer 1

-------------------------------

the remote router being

Int dialer 1

ip address 10.1.1.1 255.255.255.252

No routing protocol - Static routes to the central site is set up

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.1.1.2

How is it possible to coordinate the central site routers such that if any dialer interface is up then the other three routers

will know to use the active route.

Re: coordinating routes with ISDN dial-in from a single router i

Redistribute connected routes into

your routing protocol, and once the

remote connects that info will be

forwarded on.

I assume you have multi-chassis MPPP

configured, if you are using MPPP.
