Copy Image

I have to upgrade a sup720, since the image is 80megs I would like to down load the image to one of the external flash cards and then copy that image to the other flash cards. What is the command to copy from one flash card disk0: to disk1: on a 6509 with two sup720s.

Re: Copy Image

Hi,

To copy is from disk 0: to disk1:, it will be

Router# copy disk0: disk 1:

If you want to copy it from the primary sup to secondry sup's flash card then you have to use the command :

Router#copy disk0: slave-disk0:

Please see the command usage below:

HTH, Please rate if it does.

Re: Copy Image

A faster way is simply to copy the image file to two flash card from your computer by using a card reader. Then just insert them in regardless of which sup.

Copying 80MB file by using "copy ...." commands from 6509 would take some time.

Hope this helps
