Hi everyone,
It is possible that the cisco protocol translation command ( "translate") to alter the content of a message? I am trying to send a message from a terminal using a dial-up connection
that connects to a PAD and then to the router, but the CRC field of the message seems alaways corrupted(FFFF). The relevant router configuration is
interface Serial0/1
description DCE POS connections
no ip address
encapsulation x25
no ip mroute-cache
x25 htc 16
no cdp enable
!
translate x25 6300 cud \0\0 tcp 192.168.0.8 port 5000
Thanks in advance.

I don't think this can happen. Only the protocols need to be translated, and the contents cannot be altered.

Hi,
In fact I had to use the keyword "stream" at the end of command to make things work properly.
