Creating Access Lists

I would like to create an Access list that blocks an IP range from .100 to .139. Could someone give me some information on how to do this, or perhaps send me some links on how to get started.

Thanks,

Tripp

Re: Creating Access Lists

You can split the wild card mask into two.

those which match from .100 to .127. and then from .128 to .139

Your first network wildcard mask would be 0.0.0.127

The second network wild card mask would be 0.0.0.15. (matching .128 to .139)

Re: Creating Access Lists

HI Tripp,

Here you go ;

Access-list 150 deny ip x.x.x.100 0.0.0.40

Unfortunately I could not find a link on cco to document how to configure access-lists but I am sure there is one if you look around enough.

Good luck
