cut-through switching with port secure max-mac-count

When we using port secure max-mac-count command on catalyst's 1900 series with cut-through switching, is it command works? As i know cut-through switching method only waits for destination address and when the dest address is found (for ex. in IEEE ethernet header) - the switching process is taking place. So and if we will look into the ethernet frame header we will see that source address goes after dest address, but port secure max-mac-count command is based on founding source address in the frame header. So in this variant, does the port secure max-mac-count count work? If yes, why?

Re: cut-through switching with port secure max-mac-count

The 1900 has a choice of cut-through or store-and-forward switching.

If you implement port security it will place the port into store-and-forward.

Manual command is: switching-mode {store-and-forward | fragment-free}

Some switches can be configured to perform cut-through switching on a per-port basis until a user-defined error threshold is reached, when they automatically change to store-and-forward mode. When the error rate falls below the threshold, the port automatically changes back to store-and-forward mode.
