CW not accessible from server itself

Hi,

I'm running CW on a Solaris 8 box. I can access CW happily from any other PC on my network, but not from the server itself. I've finally managed to get both Netscape (4.76) and Java working correctly, so I'm a bit stumped.

I no longer get a "java required" message when attempting to connect, and Java is correctly reported in the "about plugins" page. However, when accessing the server either via DNS or IP, Netscape immediately closes. I can run Java apps on other sites around the Internet quite successfully.

AFAIK the environment is correctly configured.

Has anyone had a similar issue before? Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Hi,

I heard that sometimes Netscape crashes due to memory errors. Could not figure out what was your issue.

I have the same problem where I cannot access my Ciscoworks server from a browser on the same machine, except I'm on Windows2000. Hopefully someone from Cisco will see this post and add their wisdom. Thanks.
