CW2K Syslog Service on multihomed server

My CW2K installation runs on a multihomed server

Adaptor 1 has the IP address 192.x.x.x

Adaptor 2 has the IP address 10.x.x.x

I want the server to process syslog messages received by adaptor 2, however when I look at RME > Administration > Syslog Analysis > syslog collector status it shows my sys log collector is

servername

version 1.0

192.x.x.x

So the syslog service is bound to adaptor 1. When my server receives syslog messages on adaptor 2 it forwards them to adaptor 1 replacing the source address in the syslog message with the address of adaptor 2 - 10.x.x.x instead of the device that sent the syslog message. This means I cannot identify which device syslog messages are orginating from, and none of the CW syslog analysis tools work.

Any idea how I can "bind" the syslog service to adaptor 2?

thanks for any help in advance.

Re: CW2K Syslog Service on multihomed server

In the transport.ini, change multi-home=false. Disable the other NIC and reboot the server. Re-enable the other NIC. This should help.
