I have some dial backups for remotes that use weighted static default routes to fail over.
We have problems when the primary link flaps or becomes otherwise intermittantly unreliable.
Are there any techniques for dampening static routes as their related links down and up?
Does anyone have any other ideas that do not invovle adding a routing protocol?

Kinda silly to answer my own question but maybe someone else will be helped on this.
I found a great link to a new feature in theIOS that supports dampening routes on connected interfaces and static routes related to connected interfaces. Here's the link
