Dampening Oscillations

OK, we're providing ADSL to a customer and, testing with a Sunset TDR, we find "dampening oscillations" out in the local loop. We are testing from the CO, looking out toward the customer. Does anyone know what dampening oscillations are? I assume it's a loss of energy and dsl signal strength but want to identify possible causes for it. anyone know? Thnx in advance!

Re: Dampening Oscillations

Enable "debug atm events" (be cautious enabling this and look for CPU utilization befor enabling this event) and you can check for bit errors in the framing and there may be interference.

Probably It may be due to weak signal and it should be boosted up.
