DB9

Hi,

I have a problem. I need to connect a modem to my  cisco router 3845. The modem only has DB-9(RS232) connection to network  infrastructure.

How do I connect to the router? Can I use the aux port for network connection?

The available connections on my router are:

Aux

Serial

Smart Serial

T1/E1

ISDN/BRI

Yes, use AUX port. You will need a RJ45 to DB9 cable. Pinout can be found in documentation.
