In serial connection, does it required to have DCE at one end AND DTE on the other end? Because Boson Network Simulator serial interface can work even both ends are DTE, that makes me confused.
The DTE side will need clocking information from the DCE side. If both ends are DTE, then it will not be possible for either end to determine what rate to clock at. I would suggest that there is a bug in the Boson software.
