DDR connection

Hi,

We try to setup a DDR connection from a 3660 router to a 760 Router.

When I look into the ppp authen debug I see the following:

"Duplicate authentication request"

I see that both the 3660 and the 760 are sending the same name during the chap/pap authentication. I think that this may cause the problem.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Regards

Koen

Re: DDR connection

The 3660 should send the router name of the 760.

The 760 should send the router name of the 3660.

The passwords should be identical.

Re: DDR connection

Hi,

This is some PPP auth debugging:

Se0/1:30 PAP: I AUTH-REQ id 1 len 32 from "routerx"

Se0/1:30 PAP: Authenticating peer routerx

Se0/1:30 CHAP: I CHALLENGE id 1 len 41 from "routerx"

Se0/1:30 PAP: I AUTH-REQ id 2 len 32 from "routerx"

Se0/1:30 AUTH: Duplicate authentication request id=2 already in progress

Se0/1:30 PAP: O AUTH-NAK id 2 len 20 msg is "MAccess denied "

The 3600 is setting up the connection. As fas as I can see it's the 760 who is sending the wrong name. Now this a router of a costumer, and we are not familiar with these routers. I have the config here, so any help on sending the right username to our 3600 would be helpfull.

TNX in advance

Re: DDR connection

On the dialer 1 of the 3600 change your authentication to

ppp authentication chap
