I like to use this command to capture traffic from an acl and then forward it to a syslog server .... but for some reason on my routers, it doesnt work anymore. Logging is on at level debugging, has any one had any problems with this feature before.
Command "debug ip packet" will display packets that go through routing engine only. If you have ip route-cache enabled, most of the routing desicions will be pulled from the cache. Try to disable "ip route-cache" and "ip mroute-cache" on the interfaces that packets go throug and see if this helps.
